I didn’t really know what to expect from this book and I still don’t really know what I think about it now that I’ve read it. I found the perspective of the main character intriguing, and the book itself posed a lot of interesting questions. It certainly made me think.

he leido las criticas al personaje protagonista sobre hacer cosplay de pobreza y consumir cuerpos. Y si. pero como analisis de como que te quiten tu lugar en la sociedad como mujer y como madre te lleva al nihilismo es curioso. No creo que lo recomiende tampoco

Denna bok, författad av Constance Debré, är en starkt skriven berättelse om att lämna sitt gamla liv som advokat och liv i den högre medelklassen i Paris. Efter ett äktenskap som frambringat ett gemensamt barn väljer hon att lämna det livet och komma ut som lesbisk.

Hon lämnar lägenhet och alla de yttre bevisen på ett socialt lyckat liv för att leva från dag till dag i mindre omständigheter. Samtidigt vill hon fortsätta att träffa sitt barn. Det är dock något som den tidigare mannen och det franska rättssystemet har svårt att acceptera. Mannen motsätter sig att mamman ska få träffa sin son över huvudtaget och påstår saker om hennes liv.

Samtidigt utforskar hon sitt nya liv och sin sexualitet och lever vad omgivningen anser vara ett otraditionellt liv. Constance skriver med en klar och tydlig prosa utan att vara allt för explicit. Det är verkligen en väldigt bra bok detta.
