Had a hard time getting into this one. The characters just weren’t for me. Glasses as big as coke bottles? Living at home and working as a maid? Fallon was just a little too lame for me. And a little too cheesy.

This story started out funny to get you hooked, then every so often bits of seriousness leaked in. By the time you're 75% done you'll be in tears because of how fantastic the surprising turn of events comes about. Highly recommend this story even if you don't read the rest in this series.

I found the dialogue to be too cheesy and the banter was bad. It’s not cute to call a girl who is almost legally blind without her glasses “four eyes” as a “flirty” nickname.

Keep is the second book in the Seaside Pictures series. Rachel Van Dyken might be my number one go to author. Keep released early, I purchased it within seconds of going live and finished it in one sitting. We met Zane is Capture and he was a hot, sexy, singing, marshmallow eating Saint. Rock God. Sex God…virgin. He's a smart, funny, rockstar with writers block. He needs to produce and album and he lost his mojo. He happens across Fallon, a nerdy girl with giant glasses and a penchant for tripping over herself. There's something about her that appeals to him, but then he doesn't see her again until she literally falls off the boardwalk and lands in front of him again. Not only does she try to get away, she's not fawning all over him, yelling "SAINT" and trying to jump him. He's never met a woman who doesn’t want something from him. It's a strange and refreshing feeling. He thinks she can be his muse, so he offers her a deal. Show him around town and he'll help her pay for college. But, he can't stop wanting to kiss her. Fallon thinks Zane is a major man whore. She's seen the pictures of him with woman draped all over him and she doesn't want to be another notch on his guitar. But, he's slowly seducing her with his sweet words and amazing kisses. She thinks she's just a boring small town girl with nothing to offer a sexy, rockstar. But, she's sadly mistaken. Zane wants her. She grounds him. His past constantly haunts him and when he's with her, he's calm. He can breathe. He wants to trust her with his secrets. But, will he reveal them all? Fallon is falling fast and she can't lose her heart to this crazy, silly, funny, gorgeous man. She won't recover. Will Fallon and Zane put their hearts on the line? I loved this story. So much! It had everything I love in a story. Humor, friendship, family, foreplay, sexiness, loss, pain and tears. Yes, I cried. A few times. It was an emotional read and it pulled at my heart strings. I loved seeing our old friends again. I forgot how much I loved them all! I can't wait for More!

He kissed like he sang.
With smooth wicked strokes that had me wondering how any guy would ever compare.

"You are seriously the most confusing and irritating person I've ever met."
"You forgot sexy."
"On purpose. Because you know you're a walking sex toy."
"I like it."
"You would."

I honestly loved this book so much! I thought the characters were so sweet, and I loved how they didn't let one push the other away. They stayed together and I really loved that.
My only complaint it the epilogue. I detest epilogues that are in a POV other than either of the MC's. I truly hate those. It like, you turn the page expecting this great, or mediocre even, epilogue, and you don't get it. Instead you get what the next book is going to be about. That is not an epilogue IMO. When that happens to me, I feel like the ending was so open and like I'm missing something.
Anyway, other than the epilogue, I loved the entire book and I would definitely recommend it!

Feeling like it's that time of year again

12/30/ 2017 O my poor wonderful socially awkward ducklings. How can you not just want to pick them up and hug them? First time reading the author and loving the characters.
