I read this play when the university players were going to be putting it on. I actually borrowed the copy from the theater department, thinking I might try out. I even went to the audition before realizing I was way out of my league. In order to capture the emotionally wrought tensions of Miller's play, you needed much more talent than I will ever have.
The mounting tension of the play is palpable, and crawls inside you until you turn the last page, and realize just what the father has been tortured by all these years.
