📝 A pretty standard Mafia kidnapping dark romance.

🚫🇬🇧 This book has one of my biggest pet peeves: Commonwealth authors who write American characters, but don't get any Americans to check the language. All "whilst" and "do the washing up" and whatnot. It got to the point where I was like "maybe this is supposed to take place in England???" But both the voice actors sound extremely American and at one point someone gives a phone number with a Washington DC area code. So I guess not.

🎧 The performers were fine but not great. Both felt a little flat. The MMC voice felt a bit cliche gangster style.

🌶️ 4/5 a fair bit of sexual tension and hooking up, plus it all has the tint of the forbidden.

✊🏳️‍🌈 Lol nope, no diversity. As far as I could tell, everyone in this book was white, Italian American, abled, and straight.
