Overall, it's a nice book. It's different. It's creepy and it's from a different time. Having that said, I don't see this book sticking with me or being something I ever think about again. I don't really have any complaints, just meh

I really wanted to get into this and maybe I’ll try to read again at a different time. But I ended up dnf this one at about 37% it’s just too boring.

I love the mythos of Innsmouth, but this story could definitely have just been a short story rather than a novella - I felt like Zadok Allen was talking for about 10 hours.
