Read this with my mom, It's lovely and probably the only poetry book I've actually liked.

The immense tenderness. One of those books I'll one day read in original version, I guess korean makes it even more stunning

One of my favourite poems by Kim Sowol (김소월):
『첫사랑』
(first love)
 내가 만약 달이 된다면
 (if I become the moon)

지금 그 사람의 창가에도 아마 몇 줄기는 내려지겠지
(maybe a few stems will fall upon that person's window)

The poem doesn't specify the gender of either the speaker or the other, only "that person" (그 사람). The "stems" (줄기) are presumably moonbeams.

burning in your heart the night through,
the two of us burn to ash and vanish."
