I don't get it. Why is everyone telling him it won't come up? You plant a seed, it grows. That's just how it works. I don't get it.

This book is great to show hope and patience (and gardening), but the pictures leave a lot to be desired.

I loved the fact that Crockett Johnson illustrated this, definitely had Harold and the Purple Crayon vibes, but the story had nothing to it at all.
