The content of this book is worth five stars. I'm not certain that any of it was original, but it was a nice summary of several other thinkers' advice. Considering that the title is "Steal Like an Artist," I suppose I should have expected as much unattributed theft of ideas, but I was still a little bit disappointed.
If you've watched as many TED Talks as I have, you're likely to have encountered nearly everything in the book before. Then again, if you can match me on TED Talk consumption, you have bigger issues than being disappointed by a 100 page book.
Ultimately, I read the book in about an hour and will be writing the 10 things in my journal for future reminders. Borrow it- don't buy it. Better yet, go to a bookstore or library and sit in a comfy chair until you finish it, then take a picture of the back of the book. I just can't bring myself to give 5 stars to a book this short and derivative. That said, the advice is very solid. Listen to Kleon's words. Just don't quote him.

A quick read, and not all of the advice is going to resonate with everyone (for example, there is a huge amount of privilege involved in being able to travel), but a great read for any creative person nonetheless.
