What a let down.. though I gave it a 3.5 stars. Still “worth it” to finish this thick book.

Great first act, but a sloggggg to get through the second and third. If you like books with more romance than plot, this is for you. Unfortunately, that is not my cup of tea, and so the unfolding mystery
of Raeve’s amnesia brain
was only mildly interesting. Especially since (in my opinion) we get very little in terms of the falling in love portion of the romance.
Kaan was already obsessed with her upon re-meeting her, and while we do get to see Raeve slowly warm up to him, she is in such a constant battle of desire and complete emotional avoidance that the ‘love’ part of this love story feels one-sided at best.

It took me a whileeeee to finish this book. But I can honestly say I did like it. It’s a little hard to read or at least for me idk it was honestly beautifully written

Wow. I did NOT want to put this down ever. I loved the world building and discovering more about Raeve with each page. Incredible character development and growth. Highly recommend! I can't wait for the second book to come out.

My best friend asked me what the book was about and I said "I'm not sure" as I was on chapter 80...I just finished it and I am still not sure what I just read...here for the vibes I guess.
