This book is a grafic novel and part of a series. It is about a jewish family who gets separated and have to find there way together. This book was a quick read because it was iresitable like i keep reaching to read it. The story was never too scary it was more so intense. If you like quick reads that you just cant put it down.

Not a bad little graphic novel about the rise of the resistance in occupied France during WWII. I can see the appeal for a young audience (early middle school). There was something about it that seemed a little too choppy, and I don't think I'll continue the trilogy.

WWII YA resistance in France graphic novel. The art had to grow on me. It's fairly realistic but marginally off. I also had some trouble telling characters apart. But quickly the characters became ones I cared about. And the story worked. There's peril and confusion and some violence. But not a lot of sugar-coating. And the afterward strongly indicated that the good guys and bad guys weren't always as easy to tell apart so who knows what the next volumes will hold.

In really look forward to reading the rest of this graphic novel series. The story is poignant and relevant and really makes the reader think. I highly recommend this if you like learning from history or want to introduce a kiddo to WWII for the first time.

This is my favorite wrap-around cover I've ever made...which makes me (and a lot of other design nerds) sad online listings never let you see the back of books.
