I thought this book was VERY well written. This was my first Peter Swanson book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Abigail meets a stranger, Scottie, on her bachelorette weekend, and she has her last fling before the ring. They part ways, but Scottie reaches out and lets Abigail know he is in love with her. Abigail moves forward with her wedding to Bruce, and Bruce takes her to a surprise destination for their honeymoon.

Heart Pond Island is only accessible by plane, and it is “off the grid.” There’s no cell service and limited electricity. Although Abigail is feeling a little worried about not being able to reach the outside world, she embraces her time away from screens. Things are going well, until Abigail realizes Scottie has shown up on the island.

What I liked:
Untrustworthy characters
Cult-like storyline
Fast paced

What I disliked:
Wanted more details at the end of the book

This was a wild ride. There a lot of books with plot twists that throw me, but this book took a complete left turn and then threw a plot twist on top of that. This is my second book by this author (Eight Perfect Murders was my first) and this was nothing like that book but both managed to leave you guessing and feeling tense until the conflict is resolved.
