I loved this book. At first I was mad that it kept switching from Cinderâs perspective but I grew to love Scarletâs story too. I hope to get more insight on Carswell in future books. It was a bit predictable like the first book in the series but that didnât take away from its charm. Wish we wouldâve gotten Iko a body finally. Excited for how the next book is gonna tie in another protagonist!
Graphic: Blood
Moderate: Alcohol, Alcoholism, War, Xenophobia, Violence, Torture, Kidnapping, and Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Cannibalism, Vomit, Suicide, Self harm, Gaslighting, Pregnancy, Medical content, Gun violence, Grief, Fire/Fire injury, Confinement, and Colonisation
