While I did like how beautiful this book was written, I did not like the story. Because the main character was blind, the author had to describe how the character used his other senses to help him see. This idea is pretty interesting to me. To help the reader understand and know what the main character sees, the author does a good job at painting a picture. The book gives you the understanding that it is possible to see without your eyes. I liked all that from the book.

I loved this simple story. The first half of the book had some of the most beautiful wording and description I've read. I was unfamiliar before this reading with what the geography of the area was like. I must disagree with another reviewer who wanted more description. I felt this book left me with more of an impression than a photograph. It feels like something delicate in my mind that I want to protect.

This book is very beautifully written. It is a love story of epic dimensions. It read very quick and had me in tears a few times. To me, it was a book I enjoyed reading, but almost enjoyed even more afterwards just thinking about it. There was a clever twist at the end, that I didn't see coming and to me that's a sign of a good writer. If I had just read the reviews on GR I might not have chosen to read it, but it came to me as a recommendation and I'm so glad I read it first without looking at the reviews. A warm way to start out 2018!

La trama avrebbe avuto un potenziale tremendo se solo fosse stata sviluppata meglio rip

Book club book. Not bad in any way, just not my kind of book. Very Hallmark, very sweet. I liked the mystical elements, but I think it would be better if it was more grounded.

Really 4.5 but apparently that's not an available rating. Simultaneously heart-wrenching and uplifting.
