A charming and enjoyable read - also a little spicy. I listened to the first half of this book and then when I saw it at the library I decided to check it out to finish it. Christina Lauren continues to charm me with their Rom Coms. I found myself really connecting with Millie's character for better or worse. I liked the style of how the book was written - it's always fun to read texts, emails, & messages. Makes the book move quickly and feel more conversational.

I am surprised at how much I liked this! I really enjoyed reading about a group of friends who all work in academia, since I can imagine working there someday myself. I have also often found myself as the only girl in a group of guy friends and I quite liked how this was portrayed in the book. What really struck me was the amount of emotional depth hidden in this simple romantic plot and how much I could identify with Millie's struggles.
SpoilerBeing open has never been one of my strengths and I have often avoided talking to friends about my feelings in the past. I am glad this story reminded me to try to change that more often.

Excited to pick up more by Christina Lauren in the new year :)

Update 3 years later: This book is still a personal favorite and I can still relate with Millie soo much.
