Kurz-Meinung:

Meine Wertung:
4,4 von 5 Sternen

It was pretty good since I’m familiar with the main character, but there were a few places in the story where it went too fast or it wasn’t explaining what was happening very well.

When I first stated Moon Called, I was like Oh my gosh this is going to be a bad one. But I kept reading, and as the story progressed I began to like the story. Once I got to the end of the this book I was wow the story was actually good. But there is a lot world building. This was the reason that I did not care for this book at first. Overall, I enjoyed this Moon Called very much. I found Mercy's character to be funny. The plot was simple. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Better than the cover.

The story is better than the cover. There is a lot of initial character and world building which is standard in the start of a series. All together 3 stars. I will read the second installment.

Decent enough adaptation. Not sure I buy most of the choices made on the character art. Mercy as a coyote is done pretty well. And I like Jesse pretty well, and Mercy herself is not bad. Actually Mac is done well as is Zee. What I don't appreciate are the werewolves, especially the good guys as humans. They mostly don't capture the gravitas and yes I know they are supposed to look young. Anyway, not a bad book, though it doesn't really add much - it's nice to see this in graphic form. 3.5 of 5.

I enjoyed falling into the world of Mercy - a shapeshifter without a pack, an outsider with a big heart, and a no-bull mechanic with wit.

Great read!

This is the first I’ve read from Patricia Briggs. I really enjoyed it. Mercy is strong and kind which I like. A lot of strong female leads seem to be cranky and overly rude. I’m not sure why but that seems to be the theme. Mercy isn’t like that. I also enjoyed the will-they-won’t-they with the male characters and Mercy. Overall, great read!

I read these graphic novels and they were interesting adaptions but ultimately I knew the story and I didn’t really care for the art. I liked the Hopcross Jilly ones better.
