All Graylee’s ever wanted is to be a normal high school student. To forget about dating a magically inclined members of the male species and for life to go on without interference. But it’s hard to do these things when you have an identical twin sister. Graylee accepted long time ago that her sister is nothing like her. Charlene is vain, selfish and manipulative. Good thing all witches and warlocks took the Vow of Honor at the age of twelve, or else Charlene would be using black magic…

Graylee might comfort herself with these thoughts but as soon as we start reading, we can see that her sister is mentally unstable. And soon also to suspect that she has murderous tendencies. And you know what they say…
"Death was final. Even the death of a witch."

In Entangled, Graylee learns that this is not true. Although…
"Gray was stuck inside Charlene’s own sleazy high school soap opera. Maybe this was hell."

And she will soon start to ask herself questions she never thought that she will ask. Like:
"What did one bring to her own gravesite? Flowers? Trinkets… A shovel?"

Ok, I am done teasing you with quotes. If you want to know what is happening in a book – read it. At first glance it sounds like every other ya novel set in high school with love triangle romance and spiced up with witches. But Entangled is much more. It’s perfect light reading for the summer. With good characterisation, magic and a lot of surprising twists in the story. Be warned – summary spoils one of the biggest ones.

In the end...

Entangled is a cute paranormal romance story set in high school with witches and warlocks in contemporary setting. Main characters are twins and they are identical only in looks. Romance is light love triangle, because heroine quickly makes her pick. If you like these kind of novels – read Entangled. I think you will not be dissapointed.

And it’s FREE for Kindle & Nook right now!

Disclaimer: I received this ebook from NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. This text is also posted on my blog Bookworm Dreams in a little bit more styled edition.

Not much to say about this one, it was just okay. The story itself was a cool concept but was hastily executed and didn't go in depth enough for anything to really amount to much. It was hard to care about anyone other than Graylee and Raj as no one else's story was developed beyond the superficial. I gave it three stars because it held my attention enough to finish it, but I don't think I'll continue the series.

I received a copy for review.

Graylee and her twin sister, Charlene, are witches. Charlene has just been dumped by her ex-boyfriend, Blake, and she claims that she’s going to kill herself. Graylee convinces her to get off of the building, but worries that she’s going to hurt Stacey Morehouse.

To keep herself from being late to her class, Graylee becomes invisible and slips into the classroom, trying to do this without anyone noticing. Unfortunately for Graylee, Raj McKenna, a bad-boy, warlock, notices and wants her to teach him the invisibility spell. Graylee has a strict no-dating warlocks policy, and doesn’t have an interest in bad guys like him.

Everything is going okay, except for her mom making she Charlene doesn’t hurt Stacey…until Graylee dies. She wakes up one morning and realizes that something is wrong, when she’s dressed in Charlene’s night wear. Her mom tells her she died unexpectedly, and because of a resurrection spell went wrong, she is now sharing Charlene’s body 50/50. Can Graylee find a solution and still be alive?

I could not stand Charlene! At first, she just seemed slightly annoying, but she is so much worse. Graylee is definitely a lot nicer than Charlene. I felt like her mom didn’t want to admit that Charlene could be pretty awful. This really got me somewhat irked at their mother. All the time Charlene was trying to play the victim.

I did like Graylee and Raj and am looking forward to see how that develops. Raj still manages to keep some of his swag, as his feelings for Graylee develop more. I really liked that he tries to help Graylee find a solution to stay on Earth.

I’ve had Entangled on my TBR shelf for awhile, but I finally decided it was time to read this book. I’m glad I did because I ended up reading this book in one sitting! The cover is absolutely gorgeous, too.

Entangled is a quick read. I immediately figured out the personalities of the characters because the writing projected them so well. It’s a light and spunky narration that is certainly geared towards teens, but isn’t annoying or overdone and was enjoyable to read even as an adult. Entangled was also a fun read. The characters are totally over the top and overdramatic and some of them are quite psychotic, but the book is written in such a way that the exaggerated acts and emotions aren’t all that complex or serious, but fun and interesting.

The plot was action packed, with witches, a Freaky Friday scenario gone wrong, catty girls, young romance, betrayal, and drama. I liked the storyline and I didn’t find it to be all that predictable. The story had the potential to be deeper, more complex, and grittier and would have made a great serious read. I think if that’s what you are expecting or looking for, it’s probably disappointing. However, if you go into it expecting or hoping for a lighter, more entertaining story, it’s absolutely wonderful and enjoyable.

It was the perfect read for me right now and exactly what I was looking for. I definitely recommend the book and I can’t wait to read the second in the series!

I don't know what I expected. I wasn't impressed by this book in the beginning, but it grabbed me after about a quarter of the way in. I am ready to read the next book in the series.
