Really avant-garde and went mostly over my head. The part where he drags around the dummy thinking that it is his father's murdered body is pretty funny though.

Great rhythmic prose, weird in a fun way, a lot to like, though the racial slur about halfway through really put a damper on the rest of the book.

This book was really interesting at first, then got so absurdist and nonsensical I couldn’t really connect to it. I’m sure this is much loved for some, but I just didn’t find it as engaging as I would have liked, and had to really fight to get to the end.
