Powerhouse of Feels. This is the first book in the Feather series. A story about Guardian Angels and what they go through to try to balance the scales of good and evil in the world.

The story is about Feather. She's a spunky, funny, irrepressible glitter bomb of sunshine. You can't help but love her. She's like Buddy the Elf or CindyLou Who. She spreads joy, although she does have a delightful naughty streak. Feather shows up in Haven, a teaching or proving ground for protectives, as a bit of a mystery. She's covered in 'smut' (not the fun kind) from taking in lifetimes of other's sins. This is unheard of and so the mystery begins. Why was she on earth so long? Who or what is she?

Gavriel is the High Angeli in charge in charge of Haven. He patrols earth in a seemingly losing battle to keep the balance of good and evil. Mikhail is the High Angeli who creates the Protectors that are sent to earth. He gives of himself to create new angels. They are the only two High Angeli left in this realm. Righteous is the top Protector. He's self righteous, pun intended, and Feather takes him down a notch, earning his ire. All three are drawn her.

The realm is falling to encroaching evil. Sacrifices must be made to ensure the survival of the whole.

The world building here was stellar. The characters were great. The writing was next level. I thought I knew where the story was going but it had many surprises that were delightful to read, even if some smacked you in the feels. I'm anxiously awaiting the second book. Also, kudos to Ms. Bright for writing an angel book that was highly entertaining but not religious centric.
