I had an absolute BLAST reading this entertaining romp of a romance! The plot was fast-paced and so much fun, I was rooting for the characters as they found themselves in delightful scrapes all the way to the last page, and just ultimately had the best time. Despite the page-turning plot, I never felt I didn't know the characters, or that they weren't sufficiently fleshed out. Honestly, this might be one of my favorite historical romances? It had all the things I love, with an extra dose of historical correctness and fun, flirty banter. A good time all around, and I'm looking forward to more from this author!

The love story was admittedly cute, but the plot didn’t do much for me, and the characters weren’t very compelling.

This book starts off slow. In the beginning, it definitely felt dragging but I could have felt that because this genre is new to me, as I usually read mystery and fantasy that tends to be more fast pace but the second half of the book picks up the pace and the pieces that were laid out for you in beginning start to piece together and I got really excited towards the end. The writing is definitely up there when it comes to anything I have read. I wish there was more focus on the side character's relationships As much as I loved the main character's relationships, having the side characters be more developed could've made the story so much better. As this is my first historical romance, I did enjoy it.

A really fun romance. I loved all the characters and even enjoyed the drama.
