2.5 stars. Dear Lord, I didn't like Judy in this one. She is way too impressionable. OMG my teacher talks about rainforests and it being destroyed, let me take everything to the extreme and bother everyone and only make things worse! :| Sorry, but do you have a brain? Or do you not have one? Yes, rainforests disappear, that doesn't mean you have to act like this. :|

Judy Moody and her big feelings continue to be so relatable. In this story Judy is out to make a difference and save the world. Her and Stink, her little brother enter a contest to design a band-aid. When she only gets an honorable mention certificate, she looks for another way to save the world!

We loved seeing in action, how one girl and her class can make such a difference!

I am a big fan of the Judy Moody series.
Judy is such a strong character. She's not afraid to be herself and stays true to her beliefs. She isn't scared to express herself and her opinions.
This is a great continuation of the series. I love that is it educational about environmental conservation, but is still fun and entertaining. I also love how McDonald worked in environmental language into the narration such as referring to the class as an ecosystem and using animal similes such as hooting like a howler monkey.
A wonderful, hilarious read.

Judy Moody's class is studying the environment, whipping Judy into a frenzy of activism. Initially, in a very Judy way, she initially turns to her home, causing chaos with her mining of the family trash to ensure nothing recyclable or reusable is thrown away. Eventually, Judy channels that energy into something productive, leading her class on a recycling drive with the profits going to plant trees in the Amazon. But little does Judy know that her efforts are going to get her more notoriety than she bargained for.

This is a great entry in the Judy Moody series, perhaps the best to date. Judy's hypermanicness becomes focused as she channels it into saving the world, and we see a better Judy, one that is engaging, passionate and will, some day, take over the world if she can just stay focused! Megan McDonald's writing rises to a higher level here. Twinned with Peter H. Reynolds illustrations, we get a very good book that is worthy of any library or classroom collection.
