This was very enjoyable, overall fun read. The first chapter is the darkest, worst one (content warning for that one) but once we meet Vektal, it gets better. Basics: women are kidnapped from Earth & crash onto an alien ice planet they call Not-Hoth. Georgie is made the leader of the humans & meets Vektal. He is the sweetest, most caring blue horned alien. Looking forward to the second book.
Graphic: Sexual content
Minor: Death, Miscarriage, Rape, Sexual violence, Suicide, Trafficking, Kidnapping, Suicide attempt, and Pregnancy
This special edition moves the rape from on-screen to off-screen. From the author's note, I guessing older editions had it more prevalent so if you want to avoid most of it this is the better edition or skim/skip mid page 12 over to bottom of 13.spines's review against another edition

I liked this way more than I expected to. The first chapter or two were very dark and potentially triggering (see below), but after Georgie finds Vektal, things were overall delightful. Not as light and fluffy as I thought it would be, but very enjoyable.
Part of me wishes the sex had been a little more creative. You're inventing a whole alien race and planet! You could totally reinvent sex!! But I still enjoyed it just fine.Plus a little nub that exactly hits your clit during penetration?? YES PLEASE.
Not sure why I was expecting an alpha alien, but Vektal was all cinnamon roll. I loved how he just did everything in his power to take care of Georgie, was firm in his love of her but never forced her hand(except perhaps in a dubious-consent scene when he wakes her up with cunnilingus, before understanding that she did not have the same understanding of resonance/mating as him; we are in her head when it happens and she is happy going along with it) .
See Leigh Kramer's review for an excellent breakdown of content warnings.

Graphic: Confinement, Rape, Sexual assault, Sexual content, Sexual violence, Excrement, Trafficking, and Kidnapping
Moderate: Body horror, Death, Violence, and Murder
Minor: Miscarriage, Abortion, and Pregnancy
It is strongly hinted at but not entirely confirmed (?) that the main character is pregnant by the end of the book. Lots of talk of wanting to get her pregnant by Vektal. There is a mention of one of the kidnapped women having been pregnant when she was taken, but that the kidnapper aliens forced an abortion.
