If your looking for smut, this is it. I am a bit disappointed personally though. Mono-normative soul mate narratives that center on breeding put me off. I also don't love "it was the biggest one I'd ever seen" as a trope. There is some interesting world building and our main character Georgie feels like a real person, mostly. I can see why people love this series but I won't read more.

Entertaining and short. The world building was definitely there, but the length of the book was short because it touched but didn't delve into some topics that would make the book a lot darker - like Georgie's worry about the family and friends she left behind, or thoughts of returning home.

CW/TW: the rape scene is in the beginning, was easy to skip over, and then was only mentioned a few times. This topic was not written about in depth after it occurred on page.

Let's be honest, this is a great introduction to a fun series about blue skinned aliens mating with humans who were "lucky" enough to get stranded on a frozen ice planet in the middle of nowhere, after they were initially being kidnapped and abused by different sets of aliens. But as romance between Georgie, one of the abducted women and de facto leader of the group, and Vektal, an actual leader of the blue skinned aliens, it was somewhat boring relying too much on sex scenes between characters for my taste.
