I really enjoyed the book until the very end. Second time reading.

I liked this book, the logic and the mind games. However, the idea of kids going to war, even if they don't know it, doesn't really appeal to me. But I did like the ending where you find out that all the adults are wrong.

Without a doubt, the best science fiction book of all time. The best fiction is character driven, and Ender is an amazing character. Scott Card is reliable, but even this is his master work.

don't know how to feel about this one. on the 1 hand, loved it when i first read it in like... 8th grade. on the other hand, went back to reread it last year and really realized how much an author's politics sometimes (usually) impact their work. genocide isn't cool, orson scott.

gotta admit these books are fun, though. and i'm probably going to read [b:Speaker for the Dead|9818767|Speaker for the Dead|Orson Scott Card|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1348418061s/9818767.jpg|49004236].

eta 2023: wow genocide isn’t cool yes that’s his point. @ past me wow
