Immortal Hulk has been consistently impressing me with every issue it comes out with. The series started out with this wonderful horror tone that fit so perfectly with the Hulk…and now it’s progressed into something evens stranger. It still carries that tone of horror, but it’s changed in subtle ways. I think part of that is because we’re getting a better understanding of what has actually been happening (well, sort of).
This series ties in very heavily with what happened in the last issue, so you don’t want to skip issue 9 here. Crusher Creel was an interesting pull for this plot. Last issue when they first introduced him I kind of rolled my eyes, but that quickly changed when I saw what they were up to. Now I’m just horrified and dare I say that I feel bad for the guy?

What a wild fucking ride. The body horror his series pulls off is just incredible.

I first get into this new Hulk series because of the psychology of it all. We are far away from that now and I don't think we'll ever going back. Too bad... The story is still good enough, but we're now in a very action based comic, which is way less original then what it started from!
