Laughter, steam and romance, all packed in a relatively short novel: in other words, perfection! Admittedly the book verges on erotic, but the romance and the emotional connection between the characters is there and it’s very high. I loved the idea at the basis of this series, meaning the search for a missing erotic diary, and I can’t wait to read the following books. Honoria is wonderful, strong and willful and very empathetic and Leo is hot, but also sweet and honorable. Just the right kind of slightly tortured hero with a difficult past that I like. Five stars for sure!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was my first book by either of these authors. It is short enough to read easily in one sitting (at least for me), but it does contain a plot. One of my chief complaints about historical erotica is that the story often lacks substance, but that wasn’t the case here. I would have liked the book to be longer, so as to get some more character development, but I enjoyed it overall. If you don’t like open door sex scenes in your romance novels, this book is not for you. Otherwise, I highly recommend this unconventional love story. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for a review, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
