Seraphina is finally taking a long awaited vacation with her boyfriend as a last ditch effort to save their failing relationship. They never make it to their destination as the the plane goes down killing everyone on board. Everyone except Phina. She wakes up in a foreign but beautiful place with beautiful man named Nial who has been taking care of her since he saved her from the crash. But not is all as it seems.

For as long as she can remember she’s had vivid dreams but after the crash the dreams seem to morph into something more like memories and the faceless man who always was in these dreams? Now he looks a lot like Nial. The longer she’s in the gardens with him the more she becomes convinced that something isn’t right here. She’s missing a big chunk of the truth. Though Nial won’t tell her what it is she knows she needs to remember soon. Their future depends on it.

I’ve been getting more into PNR this year and I have been loving the Legends & Lovers series. Each book by a different author with a different PNR. This one was short but engrossing. I flew through it in a few short hours. I had a feeling I knew where the story was going but I liked the little twist with her back story which kept me on my toes. My heart ached for Nial as the past came out. This is a couple who definitely earned their HEA.

Even if you’re newer to PNR like me I definitely think this one is worth the read. There isn’t too much world building (which can sometimes weigh down this genre in my opinion) and she dives right into the action. This is one that’ll keep you flipping the pages and finished before you even realize it. If you’re looking for your next short, sweet and sexy binge read make it this one!

Thanks to Willow and the Legend & Lovers team for proving me with an early copy to review!

Falling In Eden is a tight narrative that is a bit rushed in terms of pace, but it does offer an engaging steamy time.

Falling in Eden by Willow Aster had promise but fell a little flat for me. Though the beginning had me debating DNFing it I pushed through and as I got further into the book it picked up and kept me entertained enough to finish.

Falling in Eden is the story of beautiful Phina who wakes up from a plane crash with no memory except for the dreams she’s been having. Upon waking she finds Nial who is broody and grumpy but has been taking care of her as she heals from the crash. As time goes on and she continues to heal and dream she grows more and more comfortable with our broody hero but soon enough her past catches up with her.

The our MCs were likeable and eventually I did feel a connection to them. The plot was fun and the setting was lush and enticing. For me, the part that pulled me out of it was the conversations between the characters; they were frustrating and meh and not in the fun “I want to throw my kindle across the room” kind of frustrating. Much of the conversation felt forced (maybe that was how it was supposed to feel). I guess I was expecting more angst from these MCs.

I wanted to love this book but unfortunately it was one that, while I did find it enjoyable, it wasn’t enough to make me excited to shout about it to everyone. Will I try another Willow Aster book? Absolutely. Am I glad this was only a standalone? Without a doubt.
