Revisiting the characters, getting to know new ones, and diving again into the peaceful village of Fairy Oak is always a delight. However, how I giggled and kicked my feet to see the characters as grown-ups and know about the next generation was actually… quite embarrassing. I couldn't help but be giddy when I found out how the characters fared after the main events of the original trilogy! Old age suits the twins very well, and it was a refreshing change of pace.

Fairy Oak books always have some kind of moral and message. This time, we found that the main lesson was to show grace to people (or animals) you don't like much. Yes, that pretty much sums it up, even with two or three minor plots.

Despite the cozy read, I think there was still a lot of magic missing. I think it's time to stop the series or try something different (with the next generation or the twins at a different age and maturity). As much as I enjoyed the double POV, I felt greedy for more of both sides. And that means that I lacked something on both timelines.

Generally, the plot was a bit messy and low-stakes, but the last one was a given. Also, I read this in Spanish, which is my first time. Although I understand most of it, this next part must be taken with a grain of salt: the writing was no longer whimsical like it was in the first volumes. Maybe it's because we get to hear the twins' narration (both past and present, which makes it 4 points of view) or because this is a side story, but I missed Feli's funny expressions... But oh well, what can one do? These types of reads are just for nostalgia!
