Decently spooky book with an interesting twist and consistent throughout. I liked that this didn’t have the usual drop off in believability 3/4 through that so many horror novels have. The plot was steady and holds up. I found Claire’s character to be very irritating, however, and the “I’m broken and dangerous” schtick to be tiresome. Ultimately satisfied with this read, though.

Dude! I can't even begin to tell you how fucking good this book was!!!  If you have ever watched The Shining or Ghost Ship, then I would say to pick this book up whether it's an audio (I HIGHLY recommend this version), physical copy or an ebook. You will not regret it!

You literally feel like you are there with the team every step of the way through this adventure. And oh wow, was this an adventure! The characters were phenomenal (even the ones who weren't all that pleasant) and the world building was just mind blowing. The descriptions of: how events mighy/might not have happened and/or what might have been/was happening made you question whether it was real or not, just like the MC and other characters.
