This book is a compilation of art work produced on poorly-drawn-lines websites, created by Reza Farazmand. It tells some funny situations through animal characters. It is funny and short book that you can read in 1 hour and to achieve your book goals for the year. Artwork is overall okay for these kind of stories.

I picked this up on a whim (I can be pretty impulsive at times) and was charmed by the cover and the few skits I had read before purchasing.
However, on reading Poorly Drawn Lines, I found myself wanting funnier punchlines rather than curse words which feature heavily throughout. Animals repeatedly call each other dicks and assholes, and yes, the odd one is funny, but not when every other scenario ends with it.
The drawings are great - bright, clear and often very cute (see Ernesto the bear) but the scenes and stories are often lacking any real humour for me which is a shame as I wanted to love this book.
I suppose it serves me right though for purchasing it on a whim.

Meh! I read it to almost completion; about 70% in. The humor is very tumblr-esque. The lines are predictably poorly drawn. The pets are assholes, the people are assholes, and sometimes even the inanimate objects are assholes. The humor is funny for the first three panels and then you realize that it relies on people not expecting everyone to be an asshole and getting surprised at everyone being an asshole. Perhaps I see patterns faster than others, perhaps the author is an asshole, but it stopped being funny really fast. Also, this one is difficult to read in a kindle format.

I love these comics so much! Reza Farazmand knows how to find the perfect balance of sarcasm and humor on each page. I've known him from the online world for a while and it's amazing to see his work published as a book. I was really looking forward to read this and I'm glad that it's even better than what I expected.

Well Drawn Lines: Decent Ideas and Okay Stories.
But I like the artist's confidence.
And some of the jokes, while seemingly lacking punchlines, made me laugh.

I received this from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
An honest, quirky collection of comics that just somehow gets you. Animals and robots help you to understand the meaning(lessness) of life in this dark collection that will make you laugh, smile, and nod in understanding.
