I am giving Coralee another chance, a different story of hers was a dnf for me but maybe I will circle back now that I understand her writing voice.
I really enjoyed this series. Its dark and some points are borderline unbelievable but I enjoyed it immensely anyway.
This story deals with them finding "Sunshine" and either greeting her with loving (sexy as hell) arms or punishing her. It alternates, so I just go with it. Some of the "reunions" were a bit gritty and harsh but that is what the author promised.
The suspense is strong, wondering why she fled her home and her boys, but all will be revealed.
Enjoy!

Randomly stumbled across this book and I absolutely loved it! I couldn’t put it down. Definitely starting the next one right away. Highly recommend!

In book #1, the burning question throughout - What drove Sunshine away?
As we get to know all of the characters; Sunshine, Gavriel, Blaise, Ryker, and Callum, we see through the past while catching up in their present how everything they experienced together shaped them into how they not only became close friends, but also what led them into caring for one another. So what could have led Sunshine into running away? The answer will shock you.

I read the prequel in the Bulley Anthology earlier this year and was intrigued about these characters, needing to know more as well...Sunshine gave the outside appearance that she was a perfect child, but inside she carried darker thoughts, this is what made her gravitate towards Gavriel when he became a foster child next door.

In book one, we learn how each Bullet becomes a foster child next door to the Brights and enters not only Moretti's circle, but also Sunshine's orbit. While each boy is unique, they also share a past that binds them in a way beyond anything they could ever really explain. Together they all complete a puzzle, but that puzzle doesn't really make sense without Sunshine there to complete it.

The story itself is probably a 3.75 but the audiobook definitely made it a 4. It’s rare when I can’t walk away from an audiobook and even choose to listen to it more than read another one. This was fantastic.

Summer (aka sunshine), grew up around a group of boys called the bullets. Led by Gabriel there’s also Riker, and Blaze. They were a tough group and definitely went against her father’s carefully crafted image, so she kept them mostly in the “friend” category…along with the Handsome officer callum. After high school graduation, sunshine knew this was her final summer with the boys before she went off to college. Some lines were crossed that threatened the group and led to a series of events that caused her to run.

— The book is mostly from sunshine’s pov and provides flashbacks that somehow keep the entire story moving forward. It also allowed for more character development.
—I love the dom/sub dynamic with Gabe.
—I’m reeeally hoping this series continues developing the characters and doesn’t just turn into random sex with mostly plot.

it's a good book and I would/will continue the series. But at the same time it feels like a filler book like if you are having trouble finding a book to read this one would be a good choice. But to be fair I think if I read this last year I would definitely rate it higher.

This one took me a little to get into for a minute the flashing back and forth had me lost so I kinda wished I had read it instead of listened to it for the first 20% of the book at least but that being said I still loved it.

What would you do if you loved four men but there in so much danger because you witnessed something horrible. Would you do anything to protect them even leave them behind if that’s what it took.

Sunshine may have ran from the bullets but they’re going to track her down and teach her that they are the ones that do the protecting and should be feared.

Excellent read and surprises along the way

Wow! Corralled June really knows how to tell a story! This wasn't what I expected. I had a feeling that Summer's story was dark and that she had been through hell. The bullets are definitely there for her, but to think she was dead for five years just wow! This is an excellent read and I highly recommend it. I can't wait to see what. Happens next!
