Possibly not as good as the first Alien book, surprisingly. But a great read. Alan Dean Foster does a great job once again.

Well, what can i say about this book. Its essentially identical to the movie (extended special edition). This is not a bad thing, but i think the film does the story more justice than the book could have.
If you do not know the story - watch the film instead.

I’m knocking off star points because they censored the best line of the whole movie(novelization). I was willing to deal with the weird Hicks voice and the “mommy”s but I draw the line at messing with that line.

Decent novelisation, though "Get away from her, you!" doesn't have quite the same punch. In fact, I noticed all the language had been toned done to a nice family-friendly rating.

Solid 3.5.  First, it is oddly bizarre that the thought it necessary to cut out all of the profanity considering both the movie and other novelizations are riddled with it.  It helped humanize the characters and gives morseverity to the situation.  It was also weridly distracting.

Once you get past that, it was a pretty decent regurgitation of the film with some bonus background and interactions with the protagonists.

This wasn't a bad listen at all.  It got me through my first quiet afternoon in a long while.
