I loved this book. It only came out this week, and the hype is real -- it's my favorite of the year so far. It feels like a combo of Divergent, Hunger Games, and Eragon (but with adult characters), with an ACOMAF-worthy romance sprinkled on top. This book had all of my favorite things, and when I say I was hooked, I mean I was HOOKED.

One star each for the world concept and political subplots. Wish it had been more of that. The book reads like it was written about sixteen-year-olds (or even younger, the characters are quite immature) and then aged up so the author could make it smut.

ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY WORTH THE HYPE. Holy shiz I wanna re-read this for the first time again. Wooooow that was good, the perfect balance of great world building, characters, storyline and spice. Amazing. I cannot wait for book 2, damn cliffhanger.
