good story padded out with too much irrelevant detail and dialogue. Adding Harry Bosch in there was just to bring in the fans I think, it wasn't necessary to the story

Another smashing novel from Connelly, focused on Mick Haller, the Lincoln Lawyer. Harry Bosch appears, but peripherally. It's a great plot, but as usual what really sparkles is the accurate and gritty portrayal of the criminal justice system. The setting is current and the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic plays in the background like a death march. Warning -- this book is very hard to put down and I'm bleary eyed from skipping sleep to devour it.
