This was a wonderful debut in a new series for this author. I loved the fresh premise on the culinary cozy, with the farm to table theme. A full review will be posted closer to the release date which is March 6, 2018.

Fans of this author will not be disappointed.

I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy provided to me by the publisher, Lyrical Underground, through Netgalley.

I can see why others would find it charming or the characters/community welcoming, which is nice in the kind of cozy escape we expect from books like this. I didn't relate to the things that made this cozy (I am not and do not aspire to be a farm/ranch person, chef, business owner etc etc). there were some minor editing issues strewn throughout the book (words missing) which might have been purely the result of reading a digital version, and then there was the repeated use of the phrase "lips curve up" to describe a smile. I didn't love the hint of a love triangle. I probably won't continue reading (since there are just so many options out there), but I'm trying to emphasize that it's more about my preferences as a reader than the book. other reviewers clearly enjoy it.

I liked this book. It's a good story and it shows goats in a positive light. However, there is a ton of error in the feeding of the baby goat, Precious. If said baby goat is about 5 pounds, she is too young to go without milk. Milk should be her main diet, not grain. Also, you can't just fill up her bowl with grain. Goats will literally keep eating grain till they die.

One of the suppliers for the new restaurant dies in suspicious circumstances.

Shame that for me the culprit could be guessed v early on.

Picked up for an src task. Not sure I'd read others by this author - nothing much wrong with the book, but didn't get me that excited either
