This book definitely kept me engaged - I finished it in three days! A light/medium read, though it includes serious subject matter (see StoryGraph content warnings). Fun for book lovers, as many books and short stories are referenced. My only "complaint" (if  one could even call it that) is that a few times the narrative skips ahead many years in a way that felt a little jolting.

This was a sweet story, y’all. Super quick read, and accomplishes a lot in less than 300 pages. I adored the island setting, the focus on stories, and I loved all the characters - especially our main ones - A.J., Maya, and Amelia.

Be prepared to cry at the end. Surprising literally no one, I sure did. I’m not sure the POV worked for me in this one, but overall I liked this.

A fast read that I’m glad to have read. It’s a very very good book…just not quite MY book, you know. It’s sparse in a way that mostly left me wanting more of most of it. But I’m sure for others, that could be exactly what makes it shine.

What’s not to love about this book. This was heartwarming, pacy and plot heavy. It felt like it is more like YA for the right reasons although covers some pretty heavy topics.
