Having enjoyed the first book in this series I was looking forward to reading book two. Although this one can be read on its own, I would suggest reading the series in order as you then have all of the background information into the characters.

This book is quite a dark read due to the subject matter. However the story is a brilliant one, extremely well written. The author managed to immediately draw me into her story and kept me there until the very end.

Lottie is a great character to read. She has her demons, which do tend to affect her a lot, and she has a family struggling at times to cope. Even with all of that, she still manages to fulfil her duties at work. Her family feature a lot in this story.

I honestly cannot wait to read the next book in this series. Many thanks to Bookouture and Netgalley for providing a copy.

Detective Lottie Parker is back at work after the traumatic events from her last case. She is thrust straight into a case with the body of a young pregnant woman found. More victims are soon discovered and a woman begs Lottie to find her friend. Lottie’s struggling family are soon involved.

Body harvesting, S.A., human trafficking this book doesn’t hold back. Another great read and look forward to book 3.

Thank you NetGalley for a copy of this book.

3 stars. I finished the book so that was a plus. The story just felt kind of bland. The protagonist was not my favorite. The ending was redeeming.

Great story

I found this to be a great well written story. It was a little slow going at the start but once you get into it you fly through it. However I do hope Gibney stops having detective parkers kids in trouble

Lottie Parker returns to catch a serial killer and find a missing girl.

Lottie Parker is back and this time she is on the trail of a serial killer with the help of her team Lottie treads the waters of sex trafficking, missing girls, murder and drug lords. All while trying to keep her family together and safe.

I got this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Well, Gibney has done it again. A fantastic read and another book have gone straight into my favourite category on my Kindle. I love Lottie Parker and her team. I cannot wait for the next book, so much so I have it on pre-order already.

I had no idea who the killer was and was completely surprised at the end which is what I love in a good mystery book, keeps you guessing right till the end and I think a great sign of a mystery book is when you can't guess who the killer is.

I am desperately waiting for Lottie and Boyd to get together they would make such a great couple and the sexual chemistry between them is amazing.

All I can say about this book is wonderful and roll on book three. Five out of Five stars, truly well deserved.
