Let me start by saying that I LOVED the Lords trilogy, but the Dukes are not doing it for me. I’m big on believability when I read. I can’t identify with the “I hate you with every fiber in my being, but sometimes I can see how this would work” vibe. With that said, the last 5% of the book did intrigue me, so I’m going to give book 5 a try.
Graphic: Abandonment, Blood, Cursing, Death, Forced institutionalization, Gun violence, Kidnapping, Mental illness, Misogyny, Murder, Physical abuse, Rape, Sexual assault, Sexual content, Sexual violence, Suicide, Alcohol, Panic attacks/disorders, Self harm, Suicide attempt, Suicidal thoughts, and Trafficking
Minor: Death of parent

This book is equal parts frustrating and captivating. I’m still deciding how I feel about the non-consensual element to the romance but I admit, I’m intrigued to see where it goes. I find Remy utterly lovable!
