This was the first books I’ve ever read of the author’s… and I enjoyed it…… but it was that abrupt, weird ending that kind of ruined it for me. It basically forces us to try and fill in the blanks about what happened… not a big fan of that part… but otherwise, I think I’d still be interested in reading more of their future works.

I had very high hopes for this book since I’m a huge fan of the Crime Junkie podcast. I thought Ashley was going to whipped a “out of this world” story and take it to another level, but it was surprisingly a mellow thriller, I kinda figured out what was going to happen, at least halfway through the book, The ending was so anticlimactic it left me with a lot of questions but disappointed with how it ended.

This book I have a love hate relationship with and I’ve been dreading writing this review because of it. I really enjoyed the thrill of this book it kept me on my toes and kept me guessing. I enjoyed the storyline and the way it came together.

I wanted to love this book but the non-ending left me totally unsatisfied. It also felt like a compilation of various CSI episodes from years ago - compelling story but lacked execution.
