Spoiler ending  felt like too many twists that didn’t all add up or feel complete. Ending was too graphic for me. No loveable characters

This is giving Pretty Little Liars in the sense that a lot of things are going on that came out of nowhere and the ending is just... not it

I enjoyed the book and was surprised by the ending. Though I would have liked a more definitive ending, I liked being surprised by who the murderer was. I do wonder though
Spoilerif Officer Wallace was a red herring or why she was in the book but not mentioned with the serial child murderer. Was it because of the time gap?
Overall it was a twisty thriller that I enjoyed, with just that one plot hole.

Started a little confusing due to the switching between characters and timelines each chapter, and also ended pretty abruptly. Still a great murder mystery with lots of twists and turns.

Overall a very solid first piece from Ashley Flowers. The book was very fast paced, not all of the twists were predictable, and the writing was not overly embellished or flowery. I found myself really and truly hoping that Margot would solve the case
Spoiler (which she did in the end), causing a departure from the unsolved mysteries vibe of Crime Junkie. I also really liked that the ending was bittersweet and everybody did not live happily ever after. There were portions of the crime that even Margot got wrong; her mistakes ended up leading to her untimely demise.

If Ashley Flowers chooses to write another book, I will definitely be reading it.
