i got bored

the most interesting part so far was when she had a threesome on the island
i wanted to see more stuff from Paradise

but instead i got a lot of details about secondary characters like liv and cam
who already got their books
if i wanted to know their stories i’d read their books

also that host of hers had more personality than alex idk…
i couldn’t get a read of ivy: one moment she’s this shy girl who doesn’t know anything about sex and next she’s self assured sex goddess

This had all the sec and I am here for it! Wow! This was so steamy and from the jump!

Alex was so dreamy! He was so infatuated with Ivy and he did and said the sweetest things. For instance, when she got drunk one night, he took her makeup off for her and put her to bed. Ugh! Yes please! He also never let her talk poorly about herself or allowed her to feel broken. He was so good for her.

Ivy was so much stronger than she knew. She put up with so much from her ex yet she survived. She was even thriving. It was wonderful how she embraced her freedom and allowed herself to feel!

The second half of the book was very fast paced. It was a bit odd in comparison with their time on the island. There was a significant portion of the book dedicated to other characters so the first Paradise book should be read, as well the Dirty Texas series I feel like. Also, the epilogue has many spoilers - not sure how that sets us up for the next book.

I felt like the incident with Steve was rushed and the odd kidnapping/disappearance of Camyrn was super quick.

Out of the entire series, this was the weakest of the books for me. It was well written and entertaining, it just felt like the leftover scraps of this Paradise world. I still enjoyed the characters and the world in which they live. I think because the girls in book 1 and 2 are sisters, and the guys are brothers, there was so much similarity without the complexity of book 1’s storyline.

I really enjoyed this book. The spice was fantastic but Alex and Ivy were the best part of this book. I loved seeing how their relationship formed and this book gave a pretty realistic look into getting into a relationship with someone after being with an abusive ex and exs that cheated and used for money. Seeing more of Nate and Camryn was great too cuz I loved them so much from the last book!! I can't wait to see what comes next!!

For being a book about a paradise sex club, it wasn’t as smutty as I thought it would be.
Don’t get me wrong, there is spice. But not smut

On top of that, the timeline overlap with book 1 and other books that I’m assuming are not even In this series, was redundant and boring.
I almost dnf’d at 95%. When the grand opening was taking place and I was reading book 1 again
Also if Nate almost died like they kept saying, why didn’t they bring him to the hospital? Or maybe they did in book 1 but not book 2???

This story is book 1 in different font. Same ex boyfriend issues. The fmc run away. . . . They need time
Both go to therapy (which is good, but same thing in both books)

I dunno. I won’t read more of this

Alex and Ivy

Sex club
Millionaire
Friends to lovers

After reading the first book, this was a nice return to that storyline since it took place at the same time. It was fun getting more details or alternate perspectives during some scenes from book one. I love these two together, they were great!

The spice was less than the first book and seemed more on the vanilla side of things as well. Still fun but just not the same vibes as book 1 on the heat.

Overall: 3 stars
Angst level: 2/5
Steam level: 3/5

Too much of an exact copy of the first book. I like that it dives right in and we don’t have to learn a whole new world, we get dumped into a scene we know, but this girls perspective of it, but like LITERALLY you couldn’t change up the plot even a bit? Repeated almost beat for beat. Also what’s with these sisters running away? Again- a normal conversation really can solve a lot in romance novels.
