Absolutely sensational - and I mean in that in both senses of the word! Enjoyable and exciting and very much like a soap opera. The art is absolutely gorgeous, a style that influenced many after it with sparkling eyes, lustrous hair, and gorgeous, intricate fashion. I can see why this was so popular in its heyday and why it continues to intrigue readers today. I’m looking forward to reading the entire series!

I swear it’s as if this manga was written just for me two decades before I was born. I love anything to do with Versailles and the French Revolution and this just ties it all together with some epic romance thrown in. Lady Oscar is an incredible character and I can’t wait to read the further volumes.
