I never thought I'd love a book this much since I honestly felt like I couldn't relate with the initial premise of the book. I am nothing but a boy of southeast asian descent, and the way the memoir started got me feeling off since I never experienced or did what they did when I was at the same age as theirs. But through the book, it's all about a collation of all experiences that makes us. All the difficult ones, funny ones, hopeful ones, and crying ones that makes us feel that life is only experienced in an intimate perception that only ourselves could describe. Needless to say, this is a book I'll recommend to anyone who needs something light but profound, a narrative that could make you feel good about yourself but also reflect whenever you can.

this book was so honest, relatable and funny, I want to give it to all my female friends right now so they can read it and take something away from dolly’s stories and the lessons she learnt along the way

My favourite book of the year. It feels like a warm hug from my best friend. I will come back to it time and time again.
