My obnoxious trait: I will finish a book I started even if it kills me and then I’ll make it every one else’s problem.

With this book, I have beaten my obnoxious trait. I bought Court of the Vampire Queen but I’m only marking Sacrifice because I genuinely don’t think I can finish Heir and Queen while holding on to some semblance of sanity.

We all know why we read this book. This had less plot structure than A Touch of Darkness and I didn’t expect that to be possible (no complaints, again, we all know why we picked this book to read) but damn Katee can write smut, good for her!

I needed a silly little book after a taxing week and this was definitely that. I don’t think I’ll ever read a line as funny as: “we do that by boosting Mina’s power with our blood and then making her come so hard, it overrides the blocks in her mind.” Like I’m sorry, that’s comedic gold. I’m even laughing as a write this.

I don’t regret buying this book because now, whenever I’m sad, I can read that one line and remember there’s meaningless joy in the weirdest of places.

a super spicy vampire romance… COUNT ME IN!!! a fun easy read that included incredible spice. excited to see where the series goes. 3.5 rating because there’s not much plot but the plot there was it was okay but interesting.
