Amazing
So good!! I just devour all of Jessica Hawkins books. She loves to pull on my heart strings... rip it apart...and put it back together. I have been waiting for Finn’s story since Slip of the Tongue and she did not disappoint!!

While the steamy scenes were absolutely scorching, the h was annoying as hell. There was way too much insta-love happening for me here too! 3/5

Beautiful. You start feeling from the first page that's how Jessica Hawkins words are from the beginning. She transports you to a world where you are surrounded by so many emotions. I was waiting for Finn's book and she did not disappoint. Absolutely a must read!

While I liked that the author wrote two flawed main characters, their relationship was too toxic for most of the book. I wish we had more time with them as a healthy, happy couple.

Finn!!!! God I love him he's such a romantic with a dirty mind and mouth.
Halston and Finn journey was raw, hot, painful, dirty, real and sexually charge and I absolutely loved reading it. That being said and I don't know if it is because I loved it so much and I didn't want it to end that I feel like I need at least and epilogue like what happens after because most of the story I felt like they were living in a bubble while Halston was trying to find herself while they were falling in love. I hope we get a little extra soon.

Do you believe in fate? Love at first sight? If you don’t you will after you read this book.
Halston has been told since she was fifteen, and tragedy rocked her world, that she is damaged and won’t be able to function without medication and someone making her decisions for her.
Finn is searching for something to make him feel anything but lost. He’s never felt good enough. Not for his mother who chose alcohol over him; not for his ex-wife who always valued money and appearances over him; not for his lover who chose her husband over a future with him; not a good enough photographer to make a living doing something he loves.
Everything changes when Finn finds Halston’s journal. Reading her inner most thoughts through her poetry he becomes infatuated with her when they have never even met.
When they finally meet the two begin to feel like two pieces of a puzzle that have finally been connected but will their love be enough? What happens when you bare yourself completely to another person? Can you ever be completely honest with someone and remain together when they know the good, bad and ugly about you?
I was immediately drawn to Halston’s character. I see myself so much in her. Halston feels like she is hiding who she really is too everyone because she doesn’t think that they will accept her the way she is. That is until she meets Finn. She can be open with him but will it liberate or destroy her? This is a tale of true love but more importantly of self-discovery.
This is a must read and I give this 5 out of 5 stars.

I only recently finished reading Jessica Hawkins CityScape series and when I saw the opportunity to read Yours to Bare, I was ALL over it. Yes I'm a new fan of Ms. Hawkins an now I can proudly proclaim that I'm now a die-hard fan. That's the effect that Finn Cohen elicits. Yours to Bare stole my breath and kept me reading late into the night.
Admittedly I haven't read Slip Of the Tongue, which is where we first meet Finn. It's not necessary, but there's history from that story that plays into his mindset when he meets Halston (Hals), our heroine in Yours To Bare. Yours to Bare picks up on Finn's life about a year and a half after the end of Slip Of The Tongue. I love Finn sooo much that I'm rectifying that immediately - another confession is that I'm a little nervous about it.
Yours To Bare is an incredibly emotionally charged story. Finn is a very forthright man and he was left defensive by his divorce and his involvement with Sadie. First and foremost he must protect his heart and like any reasonable person, he has certain rules to help him avoid making the same mistakes more than once or twice (I think twice is his hard limit and rules do get broken). But he's a big believer in fate (which I find incredibly romantic - which he is) and so when Finn finds a diary of sorts that leaves him completely intrigued about its owner. Finn takes action and too quickly becomes involved with Halston in a very passionate and very complicated love affair. There are red flags going up all over the place but Finn see's them and chooses to trust Halston. She's convincing enough for sure.
The most immediate complexity for them is really born by Halston. I almost hate saying it but she is a HOT MESS. Her emotional and mental health is tenuous and while had so much sympathy for her plight, I found it hard to be in her head at times. This is something that I found with Olivia in the Cityscape series as well. But, it's just more proof that that Hawkins is a brilliant story teller and a master at writing perplexing and wounded female characters. Between Halstons issues and Finn's need to protect himself, they have a drama fueled and very sensual relationship.
It's a fast paced read because Finn and Halston are too quick to become a couple. They endeavor on a creative partnership that is so fascinating and makes for a great plot driver (Yours to Bare on Instagram ) I tried and tried to picture the work as Finn and Hals describe it and I appreciate that Hawkins offers this as part of the Y2B experience. This is a 5 star standout read and one for any drama loving romance reader!!

From the very first word of hers I read, Jessica Hawkins has continued to surprise me. Yours to Bare is no different. I found it to be provocative and brilliant. While I wasn’t in love with Finn in Slip, I certainly fell in love with him here. He is alpha to the core, sexy and romantic. He’s finding his niche after having his heart broken. Halston is soul searching, she’s soft and vulnerable. Their relationship felt very real and honest. I loved the chemistry between the two of them. It was combustible. I had to break out the fans with this one and change my panties.
The character development in this book is top notch. Hawkins continues to awe me when it comes to her characters. They are beautifully complex with all sorts of fascinating facets to them. I love turning each page to find out which new thing I’m going to learn. I’m a junkie when it comes to this stuff. The secondary characters are just as intriguing. Each adds an additional element to the story.
This book took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. I went from ecstatic joys to humor to heartbreaking grief and back again. I definitely soaked through several tissues on this one. It twisted me up inside. But I can’t regret it because I loved the journey it took me on. It can technically be read without reading Slip of the Tongue but if you’re an reading order junkie I don’t recommend it.
If you’re looking for a book with heat that will make you feel, definitely one-click this one.

I was seduced from page one in Yours To Bare, and I loved every single moment. This poignant, and sexy romance tells the tale of two damaged people looking for love and passion. They have been brought so low, they don't know how to be whole again. We first met Finn in Slip of the Tongue. He is a struggling Photographer who is a romantic at heart and believes in fate. But so far fate hasn't been kind to Finn. He was forced into a loveless marriage and suffered a bitter divorce while struggling to stay connected to his daughter. After another failed relationship he has doubts about where his life is headed. But maybe fate does have a plan for Finn when he finds a provocative journal left behind at his usual table in the coffee shop. The poetic words and alluring images call to him and awaken him from his melancholy.
Halston has never shown her journals to anyone. They are her deepest, darkest desires and her only outlet in her conservative existence. When she loses her rawest journal, she is too embarrassed to ask around for it, thinking people will judge her harshly. When a sexy photographer says he found it, she wants to deny it's hers. But when she realizes he isn't repulsed, but actually understands and accepts her, she finally feels alive, and that maybe she isn't as broken as she thought.
Finn and Halston begin a friendship and slowly build their trust in each as their fiery chemistry explodes on film. They combine his photographs and her words on-line and begin to attract a following. Their excitement that people love their work put added pressure on them when neither was ready to completely let the other into their lives. Halston didn't want to hurt her family and Finn just wanted someone to want to choose him first. When fame feeds into the addictive side of their personalities, will it cause their passion to burn out too quickly or will fate finally give Finn an opportunity to work for his happy ending?
I love the ease of how Ms Hawkins describes what is happening around, and with, Finn & Halston. I felt fully ensconced, like I was right there, experiencing every action, thought and emotion with them. Their relationship progression was lovely, frustrating, heartwarming, and very hot and sensual. They helped each other feel stronger and more confident, but it was never an easy journey as they struggled to overcome past mistakes. Finn is so sweet, thoughtful, and commanding. He was the perfect fit to temper Halstons impulsiveness. I loved how smart, and loyal she was and how she really came into her own throughout the book. This is a beautifully poetic, exhilarating, and sexy story that will have you engaged from beginning to end and leave you wanting more.
