Beautifully Broken is a dark and steamy romance, and it does get emotional. As the blurb suggests, Kassidy and Tristan do get a happy ever after, but they have quite the winding path to get there. The premise is good, and the genre is right up my alley, but for whatever reason, I struggled with this one. I think it was just all a bit too much. Kassidy seemed a bit too innocent to me in the beginning, and Tristan's determination to stay away from her is just a little bit too short-lived. In the end, I think it's safe to say that this one isn't the book for me. Judging by the numbers, I realize that I'm in the minority here, so take my thoughts for what they are - my thoughts, and if you enjoy dark, BDSM romance, then, by all means, give this one a gander. It's certainly not a bad read at all, it just didn't turn out to be my cup of tea.
