This is a truly impressive short-story collection! Author Christian Fennell writes beautifully. Parts of the book almost feel like reading poetry, while never distracting from the story being told.

Each story in this volume is its own complete world, with characters, setting, and themes of its own. Some of the themes deal with difficult subject matter, but all are very worth reading. Take your time as you work through the stories....allow yourself to think about what you're reading....there's a lot here that's worth pondering after you finish each story.

I always enjoy reading a good short story....and I LOVED this book, since it provided so many of them. I'll be re-reading the whole book at some point, but I've marked my favorites to revisit more often.

Highly recommended!
