I was hooked immediately when I started and I loved every part of this book. Smart, funny, sweet, and emotional. It was great.

The "Taylor Swift is my enemy" line threw up a red flag, so I checked the reviews and after seeing a few things... Yeah, I'm not gonna bother continuing. 😬

Not sure how I feel about this one. I enjoyed learning about Armenian culture and Nareh’s relationship to her culture, but some parts of the were over-explained or over- described and that took me out of the reading experience.

Nareh is a hard main character to like, you are basically reading her ignore all of her gut instincts for 90% of the book and it gets especially rough in the third act. You want her to immediately get it together, mature, and stop being a such people pleaser but like real life that’s much easier to say than do.

Erebuni and Nareh’s interactions are what saved the book for me and their relationship in the first part of the book was really sweet to read about.
