The writing was so easy to get into with this book and I was enticed into this sequel from the get go. Hazel is one of my favourite female fictional characters and seeing her develop further through this book in her determinations was a joy to read. I also loved Jack throughout this book and am so happy with how this book ended (even if it felt like it took a while to get there).

Even if it took a little while to get going I loved it all by the end that ending was perfect more than one great love story rolled into one. The characters were wonderful as always I still love Hazel and Jack but I also really like Princess Charlotte and Eliza. I loved smart and very driven Hazel who does all she can to be a surgeon and help people along the way. I loved Jack even if he tried to separate himself from Hazel but he finally saw reason and they are now going to have a wonderful long lived romance. I loved Princess Charlotte and Eliza both of them were more than they seemed I am glad they had their happily ever after I really like alternate history so much. The plot is really interesting it starts from Hazel still reeling after Jack's "death" and trying to get on with her life some other things happen and she ends up being the doctor to Princess Charlotte finds out some things meets someone Jack is back after awhile finds out more things nearly dies and they are off for their romance that will last a long time.
