I had some issues with pacing throughout this book. The back half feels like it should be about 50 pages longer, and the ending specifically is very rushed. Even so, I still enjoyed it. It’s cute, the dialogue is fast and witty. Expect to ignore anything you may know about royalty in Britain. It’s pretty short, so if you’re looking for a quick enemies-to-lovers YA novel, it’s an entertaining read.

This was a cute little book, but the overall tone didn’t really work for me. It felt like much of the writing could have been given more depth, even for a YA book. I would especially have liked the characters to display more development throughout, but this was still an enjoyable, lighthearted story.
