I picked this up as part of my continuation of this manga series.
“Waiting for Spring, Vol. 12” continues to follow Mitsuki and Towa as they get closer. The basketball team’s rule about no dating has officially been revoked, and Towa and Mitsuki can have their moment together. But, everyone at school wants to date the basketball team now, especially Towa. Aya might be leaving to return to America to be with his Dad, but he is refusing to tell Mitsuki any solid plans.
My heart is exploding over how happy this volume made me!!! I am SO happy Towa and Mitsuki FINALLY get to be together. Towa continues to treat Mitsuki with so much kindness and respect, and Mitsuki is equally as supportive of Towa.
The plot line with Aya just up and leaving is wild to me. It kind of comes across as a pouting toddler that did not get their way so they are throwing a tantrum. I think he could be a great friend to Mitsuki, but he is running away because he “lost”. I do really love that Towa is trying to get Aya to share with Mitsuki his plans, because he understands how important Aya is to Mitsuki.
That ending had me screaming happy words, and I am dying to pick up volume 13.

Is this the end??? I can't give up these characters!!! They're too precious! You can't just get me to love them then just take them away! Gosh. The nerve of some people.

Otherwise, a THROUGHLY satisfying addition to the story! Towa and Mitsuki are really perfect for each other. This is really part of the resolution arc and is just so perfectly laid out and performed... It's great.

Art style is perfect as always.

(Note: I finished reading the extras and the author said the final volume is 13!)

Even though I'm still heartbroken over Aya (and probably always will be to a certain extent), Mitsuki and Towa make an adorable couple and are genuinely good together. I love how thoughtful they both are, it's just too sweet!

On a side note, I really hope Ryuji can finally succeed in getting Nana to fall for him, he's pretty funny and charming in his own way (although he might be my least favorite of the boys, I still love him though!), so I want to see him happy.
